Give your Denix M1 Garand a proper WW2 look with our Lockbar repro!
This is our Generation II lockbar. This new one is made of cold cast metal, with an integrated metal axis.
This repro lockbar is casted from an original Garand lockbar. Therefore dimensions are exactly the same as an original one.
We give our lockbars a great color and a bit of patina that will match your Denix Garand perfectly!
- Drill a 1cm deep hole in the middle of the elevation knob (right side of the replica). The diameter of the metal axis of our lockbar is 2.2mm, so use a suitable drill bit. For info, we used a 2.0mm metal drill bit, and then slowly enlarged the hole to fit the 2.2mm lockbar axis.
- Optional but recommended : place a drop of super glue in the hole.
- Install the lockbar in the hole. Adjust the angle of the lockbar the way you want.
- Let the glue dry. Done!
HISTORY :
Original Lockbars typically cost around $30, are hard to find, and not suitable for mounting on Denix replicas. This reproduction is made to fit your Denix M1 Garand, and get the impression that the Lockbar is screwed into the locked position.
ATTENTION :
⚠️ This product is made on demand. Allow 5-10 business days before shipment. For several pieces, please allow additional time.
⚠️ "Cold-casting" is not "die-casting". Cold-Casting is a process of mixing metal powder with resin to create castings that give the appearance and weight of solid metal.
⚠️ The M1 Garand replica visible on photos is not for sale. You only buy the lockbar.

I am François, founder and manager of ww2gear.
As far as I can remember, I have always been a WW2 history buff.
The ww2gear adventure started back in 2017 with the creation of the @ww2gear Instagram page. Since then, I have developed increasing interest for WW2 reenactment.
One thing led to another, and I quickly joined a U.S. Army reenactment group in Belgium : The BRO.
Simultaneously, I started creating repro gear for myself and a few friends, in line with the concrete needs of WW2 collectors and reenactors. It quickly became a serious business, which led to a full time job in 2020.
Since then, I have managed and shipped hundreds of orders all around the world, and collaborated with numerous reenactment groups and other militaria professionals.
Most products available on this webshop are handcrafted by myself or individual makers, which explains the limited assortment strategy.
I am a passionate person, working to enhance your passion.
