With our super durable and functional Hawley reproductions, no need to worry about taking your fragile and priceless original cardboard liner into the rain and mud during reenactments.
All our Hawley liners are unique handcrafted pieces, which require time and very specific skills developped over several years of research and continuous improvement.
We propose 2 versions :
- Transitionnal, with HBT webbing & headband
- Early war, with grey Rayon webbing & headband (20€ more expensive than the HBT version because of Rayon's price, difficulty to source Rayon headbands and fixed chinstraps, as well as extra time and skills required to install Segma snaps)

I am François, founder and manager of ww2gear.
As far as I can remember, I have always been a WW2 history buff.
The ww2gear adventure started back in 2017 with the creation of the @ww2gear Instagram page. Since then, I have developed increasing interest for WW2 reenactment.
One thing led to another, and I quickly joined a U.S. Army reenactment group in Belgium : The BRO.
Simultaneously, I started creating repro gear for myself and a few friends, in line with the concrete needs of WW2 collectors and reenactors. It quickly became a serious business, which led to a full time job in 2020.
Since then, I have managed and shipped hundreds of orders all around the world, and collaborated with numerous reenactment groups and other militaria professionals.
Most products available on this webshop are handcrafted by myself or individual makers, which explains the limited assortment strategy.
I am a passionate person, working to enhance your passion.
