HISTORY :
The M17 Rifle Grenade is a fragmentation rifle grenade which is typically launched from a Grenade Launcher attached to the muzzle of an M1 Garand, a Springfield 1903 or an M1 Carbine.
The M17 uses the body of a MKII Hand Grenade with the time fuse replaced with a tail section containing an impact fuse.
HEAD & TAIL :
The MKII heads of our M17 are composed of metal through a cold-casting process.
They are casted from an original MKII grenade. Therefore all the dimensions and details are faithfully reproduced. Even the original markings on the body are visible !
The stabilizer tube and fins are made of a steel.
Our M17 perfectly fits WW2 launchers (see photos).
The pin is also made of steel, and can be removed.
⚠️ The MKII head can not be removed / detached / unscrewed from the stabilizer tube. This is 1 solid piece, for durability reasons.
PRICE :
We sometimes hear that our products are "too expensive" compared to other reproductions available on the market. Keep in mind that these other reproductions are often Made in China or 3D printed, and do not meet WW2 standards, unlike ours. Also, our reproductions are 100% handcrafted.
The price you see is not our margin, but our turnover. We then have to deduct :
ATTENTION :
⚠️ This product is made on demand. Allow 10-15 business days before shipment. If you order several pieces, please allow additional time. There may be additional production delays during sales period, due to high volume of orders. Do not hesitate to contact us to know when your order will be shipped.
⚠️ To ensure durability of the product, do not pull the pin. This reproduction is made to be used as a simple display element on your gear or in your collection, not as a functional or training device that you can "arm" and/or throw.
⚠️ "Cold-casting" is not "die-casting". Cold-Casting is a process of mixing metal powder with resin to create castings that give the appearance and weight of solid metal.
