WWII US helmet net reproduction.
Unique netting based on an original WW2 model (see last photos of USMC soldiers embarking for Guadalcanal).
Original or repro nets are very hard to find.
You will receive a net identical to the one in photo.
⚠️ The helmet is not for sale!
⚠️ This net will only fit US M1 type helmets. We cannot assure it will fit a German Stahlhelm, a Japanese helmet, or any other kind of helmet.
⚠️ You can choose to receive your net white (natural color) or brown (aged). Select color option before ordering.
⚠️ If you buy a white/natural net and decide to dye it yourself, do not soak it in water or any other liquid solution. These nets are 100% cotton, and would shrink a lot.
Suggested method :
1 - Wrap your helmet in Cellophane / cling film, in order to protect the shell
2 - Install the net on the helmet (the cellophane is therefore between the shell and the net)
3 - Dye the net with the chosen dye solution (tea, walnut stain, mud…) using a sponge
4 - Let dry, leaving the net on the helmet. The net will not shrink as it dries.
5 - Once dry, remove the net, and the Cellophane.
6 - You can now reinstall the net. Size is perfect!

ww2gear founder
I am François, founder and manager of ww2gear.
As far as I can remember, I have always been a WW2 history buff.
The ww2gear adventure started back in 2017 with the creation of the @ww2gear Instagram page. Since then, I have developed increasing interest for WW2 reenactment.
One thing led to another, and I quickly joined a U.S. Army reenactment group in Belgium : The BRO.
Simultaneously, I started creating repro gear for myself and a few friends, in line with the concrete needs of WW2 collectors and reenactors. It quickly became a serious business, which led to a full time job in 2021.
Most products available on this webshop are handcrafted by myself or artisans, which explains our limited assortment strategy.
I am a passionate person, working to enhance your passion.
