WWII US helmet net reproduction.
Unique netting based on original WW2 models (see last photos of Marines embarking during the Samoa campaign).
Original or repro nets are very hard to find.
You will receive a net that does not exactly reproduces the mesh shown in the photo (each net is unique due to its random weaving). Once your order has been placed, do not hesitate to ask us a photo of the net before shipping, in order to validate the model you will receive.
⚠️ The helmet is not for sale!
⚠️ This net will only fit US M1 type helmets. We cannot assure it will fit a German Stahlhelm, a Japanese helmet, or any other kind of helmet.
⚠️ You can choose to receive your net white (natural color) or brown (aged). Select color option before ordering.
⚠️ If you buy a white/natural net and decide to dye it yourself, do not soak it in water or any other liquid solution. These nets are 100% cotton, and would shrink a lot.
Suggested method :
1 - Wrap your helmet in Cellophane / cling film, in order to protect the shell
2 - Install the net on the helmet (the cellophane is therefore between the shell and the net)
3 - Dye the net with the chosen dye solution (tea, walnut stain, mud…) using a sponge
4 - Let dry, leaving the net on the helmet. The net will not shrink as it dries.
5 - Once dry, remove the net, and the Cellophane.
6 - You can now reinstall the net. Size is perfect!
