M17 rifle grenade reproduction, OD green.

HISTORY :

The M17 Rifle Grenade is a fragmentation rifle grenade which is typically launched from a Grenade Launcher attached to the muzzle of an M1 Garand, a Springfield 1903 or an M1 Carbine.

The M17 uses the body of a MKII Hand Grenade with the time fuse replaced with a tail section containing an impact fuse.

HEAD & TAIL :

The MKII head is scanned from an original MKII grenade. Therefore all the dimensions and details are faithfully reproduced. Even the original markings on the body are visible !

The stabilizer tube perfectly fits WW2 launchers (see photos).

⚠️ The MKII head can not be removed / detached / unscrewed from the stabilizer tube. They are 1 solid piece, for durability reasons.

BODY COLOR :

The body is made with dark grey PETG, then painted OD green.

A light coat of patina is then applied for better visual realism.

When using your grenade, the paint will slowly wear off and scratch over time, revealing the grey/steel aspect underneath (just like the real deal, which is a plus regarding authenticity).

PIN :

Pin is made of metal, and can be removed (even though we advise you not to do so in order to ensure better durability of the product).

OVERALL WEIGHT :
